He was one of the first in Ohio to adopt both Orbera and ReShape gastric balloons, as well as Lap-Band and other adjustable gastric devices.
Notably, Dr. Curry understands the patient experience on a deeply personal level: he has undergone Lap-Band surgery himself, lending authentic empathy to his practice. He often emphasizes accessibility and communication, striving to guide patients through every phase of their weight-loss journey — before, during, and after surgery.
Dr. Curry is active in professional circles, maintaining membership in the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and contributing to the broader discourse on obesity treatment and outcomes.
Outside of surgery, he engages with the public through media interviews and educational content, offering expert insights into the evolving landscape of obesity therapies — from GLP-1 medications to gastric balloons.
