JourneyLite Physicians & JourneyLite Surgery Center are dedicated to the care of our patients in our Cincinnati outpatient surgery center and in each of our JourneyLite Physician partner offices in Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Indianapolis, and Northern Kentucky. We have one of the most experienced weight loss teams in Ohio and across the United States, with our physicians having performed more than 1,000 laparoscopic gastric bypass procedures, 6,000 gastric sleeves (VSG), and 3,000 Lap Band® procedures. We have also performed more gastric balloons than any practice in the Midwest, and we offer gastric band and gastric bypass revisions as well.
JourneyLite Surgery Center is a 9,500 square-foot outpatient surgical center in Cincinnati dedicated to providing safe, efficient, high-quality surgical care in a convenient ambulatory setting. Our center is best known for bariatric surgery, including Lap Band, sleeve gastrectomy (VSG), gastric bypass, the SIPS/SADI-S procedure, gastric balloon, and revisional procedures such as band-to-sleeve, band-to-bypass, sleeve-to-bypass, and sleeve-to-SIPS/SADI. The entire center was designed from the ground up to serve surgical weight loss patients and remains one of the only centers of its kind in the country. Our bariatric surgery program has been certified as an MBSAQIP-accredited Bariatric Surgery Outpatient Center of Excellence, and JourneyLite is also recognized as an Anthem Blue Distinction Plus Center, a United Health Optum Bariatric Center of Excellence, and an Aetna Institute of Quality.
Although JourneyLite is widely known for bariatric surgery and medical weight loss, that is only part of what we do. Our outpatient surgery center was built to support patients across multiple specialties with the same focus on minimally invasive care, patient safety, comfort, and long-term results. In addition to surgical and non-surgical weight loss services, we also provide select general surgical procedures and have extensive experience in plastic surgery and body contouring.
For patients who are not interested in surgery or who do not qualify for bariatric procedures, our physician partners offer numerous non-surgical treatment plans. We were the first in Ohio to offer the Orbera, ReShape, and Spatz gastric balloons, and we also offer Healthwise and Medifast programs monitored by experienced registered dietitians. We understand that some patients benefit from pharmacologic support as well, so we offer an intensive Adipex (phentermine) protocol and a highly structured, affordable semaglutide-based medical weight loss program. Our team of experienced surgeons, dietitians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners works together to help patients achieve better health through medical weight loss, surgical weight loss, and gastric balloon therapy.
JourneyLite also provides general surgical procedures for appropriate patients, including common minimally invasive operations such as gallbladder removal and hernia repair. Patients dealing with gallbladder symptoms, gallstones, or symptomatic hernias can receive expert surgical evaluation and treatment in a comfortable outpatient setting. These procedures are performed with the same attention to detail, efficiency, and personalized care that have made JourneyLite a trusted destination for surgical excellence.
In addition, JourneyLite has more than a decade of experience in plastic surgery and body contouring. For many patients, weight loss is only part of the transformation. After major weight loss, excess skin and contour concerns can affect comfort, mobility, clothing fit, and self-confidence. Our experience in plastic surgery and body contouring allows us to help patients complete that journey with procedures tailored to their needs and goals. Whether weight loss was achieved through bariatric surgery, medication, or lifestyle change, we understand the unique needs of post-weight-loss patients and the importance of achieving results that are both functional and natural-looking.
What makes JourneyLite unique is the breadth of care available within one connected practice. Some patients come to us for bariatric surgery. Others need medical weight loss, gallbladder surgery, hernia repair, or body contouring after significant weight loss. By bringing these services together, we are able to support patients through every stage of their journey—from improving health and losing weight to addressing related surgical needs and completing their transformation.
We have three Ohio weight loss centers in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton, as well as facilities in Indianapolis and Northern Kentucky to serve our patients.
