Preparing For Surgery At JourneyLite Surgery Center

Pre-registration

Please go to OneMedicalPassport and complete your information and medical history at least 72 hours prior to your procedure.

Identification

Bring your driver’s license and insurance cards. Depending on your insurance, you may be asked to pay the co-pay, coinsurance and/or deductible.

Transportation

Make arrangements for a responsible adult (over 18 years old) to drive you home after surgery. We also require that a responsible adult remain in the building for the duration of your surgical stay. Please note: You cannot take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi home from the center!

Medications

Use of medications will be discussed during your pre-op phone call.

Illness

If you become ill or take any new medications prior to surgery, please notify your doctor immediately.

Food, drink, tobacco

For your safety, do not eat, drink or smoke after midnight the night prior to your surgery. This includes gum, candy and mints. Do not consume alcohol 24 hours prior to or after surgery.

Bathing

Prior to surgery, bathe and shampoo with antibacterial soap. Do not wear creams, lotions, deodorants, makeup or contact lenses. If you are scheduled for hand or foot surgery, remove artificial nails and polish.

Clothing/Valuables

Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes and flat shoes. Leave all jewelry and valuables at home.
