As far back as I can remember, I was always the “bigger one.” While my sister wore the cute clothes and rode every ride at the amusement park, I was the one watching from the sidelines—feeling left out, left behind, and alone.
At my highest weight of 353 pounds, I knew something had to change. Gastric sleeve surgery wasn’t a magic fix—but it was the tool that helped me realize I can take control of my health and my future. Today, I weigh 211 pounds, and I feel stronger and more capable than I ever have.
