Pain Meds
One of the following prescriptions is typically used for post-op pain:
- Norco tablets (generic-hydrocodone/acetaminophen)
- Percocet tablets (generic-oxycodone/acetaminophen)
- Dilaudid tablets (generic-hydromorphone)
You can take one to two pain pills every 6 hours as needed for discomfort. Once discomfort lessens, change to Extra-Strength Tylenol as needed. Both of the prescription medications contain Tylenol, so you can’t take Tylenol along with them.
