JourneyLite is proud to have served patients from almost every state in the US (including Alaska) and 3 countries across the globe.  Most of our out-of-town patients however, are within a 5 hour drive of Cincinnati.

If you live more than an hour’s drive from the center, we will provide a room at the Wingate Inn Blue Ash so that you can stay in Cincinnati overnight.  This way, since the Wingate is only 2 miles from the center, if anything needs to be checked out before you head home the next day we can easily see you in the office.  The reservation will be automatically made for you by our staff, and the cost will be covered by the center.  Please note that this overnight stay is required, not optional, for patients who live 60 minutes or more from 10475 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH by car.  Patients will also need a responsible adult with them, to both drive and stay with them in the hotel.  We cannot send you to the hotel in an Uber or a Lyft!

The morning after surgery, if are feeling well and having no issues, feel free to head home.  We recommend no longer than 60 minutes of car time before stopping for a break.  During breaks, please make sure you walk for a few minutes before returning to the road.

Typical symptoms to expect are some pain at the incision sites and some nausea (an episode or two of vomiting is fairly common, as long as it is limited and there is no blood present it is normal).  If you are having any other symptoms or if you have any concerns at all please contact the office at 513-559-1222 before leaving the hotel.
