Post-op Prescriptions

Prescription
    • You should have several prescriptions electronically sent to your pharmacy when you leave the office after your pre-op/consent visit including:
      • Nausea medication – at least 2 prescriptions, possibly 3
      • Anti-Spasm medication
      • Acid reducer – optional
      • For gastric bypass patients there will be several additional medications
    • Please get them filled as soon as possible!
    • A prescription for pain medication will be sent by your surgeon on the day of your procedure.
      • There is a Walgreens right across the street from JourneyLite Surgery Center.
      • For procedures at Christ or Jewish, they both have outpatient pharmacies in-house that can deliver your prescription straight to your room just prior to discharge.
