Acid Reducer

Nexium capsules
  • Prilosec (generic-omeprazole)
    • This will be prescribed for ALL gastric bypass patients, and should be taken daily for at least 3 months after surgery, to prevent the formation of an ulcer at the connection between the stomach pouch and the small intestine.
    • For sleeve, SADI/SIPS, and band patients it is an optional prescription and can be used as needed.
      • OTC Prilosec can also be purchased after surgery if you need it.
