The entire surgical-site team—from the receptionist and pre-op nurses to the surgical team—was exceptional. They made sure I was prepared both mentally and physically and took the time to answer any last-minute questions or concerns.
During my surgery, Dr. Augusta discovered and repaired a hernia that I had no idea I even had. I’m incredibly grateful that he caught it and addressed it while he was already performing my procedure.
But I especially want to recognize the post-op recovery nurses. They stayed by my side until I woke up and were constantly focused on my comfort and recovery. They encouraged me to take those first small steps that are so important after surgery and were incredibly patient and compassionate throughout the process. Caring for patients who are still under the effects of anesthesia is certainly not an easy job, and they handled it with such professionalism and kindness.
The biggest thing I can say is that the JourneyLite team truly is there for you throughout the entire process. I felt supported, informed, and cared for every step of the way. I’m extremely grateful for the care I received and would absolutely recommend JourneyLite to anyone considering bariatric surgery.
