Your morning office checkup
Patients who stay at the hotel after surgery are required to stop by the JourneyLite office for a checkup before returning home.
The office is in the same building as the surgery center.

Please complete your checkup before leaving for home. For a one-night hotel stay, the visit before departure is on post-op day 1 (the morning after surgery). For a two-night hotel stay, the visit before departure is on post-op day 2, as outlined below.
How long will you stay?
JourneyLite welcomes patients from across the United States and beyond. Your travel time from the surgery center determines the hotel stay provided after surgery.
1–3 HOURS FROM THE CENTER
One hotel night
We provide an overnight stay at the Wingate Inn Blue Ash. Stop by the office the following morning for your required checkup before returning home.
MORE THAN 3 HOURS FROM THE CENTER
Two hotel nights
We provide a two-night stay at the Wingate. Your required in-person visit before leaving town is the morning of post-op day 2, after your second hotel night. Subsequent post-op visits can be done virtually.
The hotel stay is required for patients who live 60 minutes or more by car from the surgery center.
Your hotel arrangements
Wingate Inn Blue Ash
The Wingate is about two miles from the surgery center. Our staff will make your post-surgery hotel reservation, and the center covers the cost of the stay described above.
Bring a responsible adult
You must have a responsible adult to drive you and stay with you at the hotel. We cannot send you to the hotel in an Uber or Lyft.
Arriving the day before surgery?
If you would like to stay at the Wingate the night before surgery, contact the hotel directly to make that reservation. Ask for JourneyLite’s discounted rate.
Before you leave Cincinnati
- Complete your office checkup. The JourneyLite office is in the same building as the surgery center at 10475 Reading Road.
- Call about any concerns. If you have other symptoms or concerns, contact the office at 513-559-1222 before leaving the hotel.
- Plan breaks for the drive home. We recommend no more than 60 minutes in the car before stopping. Walk for a few minutes during each break before continuing.
Typical symptoms to expect are some pain at the incision sites and some nausea. An episode or two of vomiting is fairly common, as long as it is limited and there is no blood present. If you are having any other symptoms or have any concerns, please contact the office before leaving the hotel.
