We have many out-of-town patients at JourneyLite Surgery Center, so some of our patients will need to stay in town for a period of time for safety purposes.

• If you live more than an hour’s drive from the center (10475 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45241) and are having a gastric sleeve, an overnight stay will be provided at the Wingate Inn, which is about a mile from the center.  You do not need to make reservations for the night of surgery, and the cost is covered by JourneyLite. You can return home the following day if you are doing well.  If you are having any issues that need to be checked out, however, please call us at 513-559-1222 prior to leaving the area!
• If you live more than a three hour’s drive and are having a gastric sleeve, two overnight stays will be provided at the Wingate Inn. Your first follow-up visit will be on post-op day 2 before you leave town. 
• If you live more than a three hour’s drive and are having a bypass or SIPS/SADI, you will stay overnight at JourneyLite Surgery Center, then you will be discharged to the Wingate Inn for an overnight stay.  Your first follow-up visit will be on post-op day 2 before you leave town.

If you would like to extend your stay or arrive the night before your procedure the additional cost would be up to you, however our patients get special rates so please let them know you are with JourneyLite when you book any extra days.
