Diuretics (water pills)

  • Do not take any diuretics (water pills) the morning of surgery!
    • Lasix (furosemide)
    • Microzide (hydrochorothiazide)
    • Aldactone (spironolactone)
    • Any combination medication with these
  • Hold water pills for 7 days (unless instructed otherwise) to avoid dehydration
