Managing Constipation After Surgery

    • No BM for up to 5 days is common.
    • You can start MiraLAX powder the day after surgery if you are prone to constipation.
    • If no results within 5 days, add Milk of Magnesia.
      • 2 Tablespoons twice a day (Continue MiraLAX)
      • If still no results within 48 hours, try 2 Dulcolax suppositories.
