Acid Reducer

  • Prilosec (generic-omeprazole)
    • For gastric bypass patients, omeprazole should be taken daily for at least 3 months after surgery, to prevent the formation of an ulcer at the connection between the stomach pouch and the small intestine.
    • For sleeve, SIPS, and band patients it is an optional prescription and can be used as needed.
