Recently, the FDA approved Belviq for the chronic treatment of obesity.  Belviq is the only drug approved for long-term use, and does not have the restrictions that we see with the use of Adipex (phentermine).

There are still restrictions on BMI however:  Your BMI has to be either above 30, or between 27-30 with a weight related medical issue.  It is not approved for use with BMI less than 27.

We are starting to accept patients now into our medical weight loss program to utilize this exciting new drug!
