I have a question, I have had a gastric sleeve performed 2 years ago and my weight hasn’t moved in over a year. I actually gain and lose 10 pounds all the time. This has been very frustrating. MY BMI is still over 40 and I am still on Diabetes meds. My husband wanted me to reach out to you to see if there is any help I can receive.
Dr. Csays
There are 2 excellent surgical options for sleeve patients who need to lose more weight, conversion to gastric bypass or to the SIPS procedure. Medical weight loss is also an option.

I have an IBM 37.5 , also I am a diabetic. I have been on phentermine a few times, I don’t lose much weight. I am thinking that maybe the sleeve might be the help I need. So I need to know if this is what would work best for me, and how do I get things started.
Trace Currysays
The best way to get things started is to watch the online seminar “Meet Dr. Curry online”. It will take you through your options and you can request a consultation at the end. You can also call 513-259-2555 and talk to our patient service representatives.

Is the surgery done at your facility? If not are hospital cost covered for surgical procedures?
Can assistance be given to request an exemption for insurance?
Is someone with a BMI over 60 eligible for a non-invasive procedure?
Do you assist with financing options?
Trace Currysays
We do surgery at our facility (JourneyLite) and 2 hospitals in Cincinnati. There really is no such thing as an exemption for insurance, if you have an exclusion it is not going to be covered.
I would recommend a non-surgical procedure for a patient with a BMI over 60, although perhaps you could start with a medical weight loss option first and then follow with a non-surgical procedure once the BMI is lower.
We do have a partnership with Prosper Healthcare Financing, you can fill out an application through the link on the right hand side of the web site.
